Their wedding plans were inverted or in other words turned upside down due to COVID-19, but Casey and Matt made the most of it and had a romantic, intimate ceremony with immediate family in attendance on their intended wedding day.
The day started at Base Camp at Granby Ranch.
Casey made a grand entrance along the trail at Point Park arm and arm with her dad.
Casey and Matt decided to self officiate their wedding due to the circumstances with Covid 19 and the restrictions. Luckily the State of Colorado allows self solemnization, and in case you didn't know, Colorado is one of a small group of states that allows this type of self-uniting marriage. Casey and Matt wrote very sweet and meaningful vows to each other.
The couple had this amazingly beautiful day with Grand Lake and Mount Baldy as the backdrop to their elopement. Mount Baldy sits on the shores of Grand Lake and reaches 12,007 feet in elevation. The reflection of Mount Baldy in the state’s largest natural lake is a sight to behold.
They topped the afternoon off by paddling a canoe across Grand Lake.
From their they headed to The Rapids Restaurant with their immediate family waiting outside for them to celebrate their love! The day couldn't end without cutting their wedding cake.
