Macy + Logan's Bohemian Strawberry Creek Wedding

Updated: Nov 13, 2021

Colorado has so many wonderful venues to choose from but the ones tucked away in nearby Rocky Mountain National Park are some of my absolute favorites! Strawberry Creek Ranch, as the name implies, is nestled outside Granby, CO facing gorgeous rolling mountains and views for miles. The venue offers a rustic barn, market lights, a pond, and a gas fire pit perfect for smores, plus much more. This makes Strawberry Creek Ranch the perfect place for a bohemian wedding full of love and personality.

Every bride has a beautiful glow on her wedding day but there is just something about Macy, maybe her fresh natural look and that amazing bohemian dress!

Catherine Lea Photography captured her energy and the love that radiated from her and Logan so perfectly.

Macy planned a wedding day with a lovely mix of romance and eclectic bohemian touches. Her lace dress was a perfect mix between the two, accented perfectly with beaded sandals and loose organic hair style. Her bouquet was also a marriage between bohemian and romantic. Bold scabiosa flowers was the focal point among roses, lisianthus, stock, bunny tail, and pampas grass. The muted peach, blush, burgundy, and yellow tones gave her bouquet sweet softness that contrasted with the dynamic bridesmaid dresses.

For their ceremony, feathery installs of pampas grass with greenery and flowers stood in front of their aspen arbor with mountains as the backdrop. The pampas grass was full of movement as the wind blew through the arrangements. With the reflection from the water in the background it was absolutely perfect.

For the reception Macy did a mix of round linen tables and farm tables. For the farm tables we started with seeded eucalyptus and olive greenery with roses. The next layer of interest included candles and to finish the look we did a colored napkin for a pop of color. The round tables were topped with clean cream linens. Followed by loose greenery and three hurricane glass cylinders with floating candles for this minimal look.

The sweetheart table was topped with a lush greenery garland with pops of roses and lisianthus flowers. To finish off the intimate setting for Macy and Logan's sweetheart table we placed additional candles and her bouquet for a pop of color.

Last but not least we love the added touch to the Seating Chart and the 6 foot wreath we hung on the barn.

Truth be told that garland was just too large for the chart so we improvised and placed it on the ground. Either way we think it made a statement and was a great addition to the barn inviting guest to take a seat to start the dinner portion of the evening.
